This Panda Projects gives you a chance to cuddle the giant panda, not
only watch them in the zoo. You will help to improve the living conditions of the community
and reintroduce the giant panda into wild. Volunteers who have had their eye on this line of
conservation work can now have a once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal
to these living fossils and panda to their every need.

Following a short training/orientation volunteer’s job description might include but is not limited to:
• Cleaning panda areas and enclosures
• Preparing food for the pandas such as carrots, apples, panda bread and their nutritional
  biscuits
• Carrying Lots of bamboo
• Sometimes you might even be able to help collect behavioural data

Volunteers wanted for the following positions: You will receive one days training.

1.  Assist the panda keeper

2.  Assist the office staff of the Panda Project

3.  Assist the interpreter of the Panda Garden

An assistant to the panda keeper:- Short job description  

a. You will be allocated one keeper who will become your teacher.

b. Cleaning the bedroom and the garden for the giant panda.

c. Preparing food, such as: carrot, apples, panda bread and biscuit.

d. Carrying bamboo.

e. Sometimes, you may be asked to help the scientists to collect the behavior data.

f.  Sometimes, you may be asked to help the vet with the medicine care for the    panda.

Assist the clerk of the Panda Project:- Short job description.

a. Help the staff type the documents.

b. Help translate the web pages, and some daily documents.

c. Help the staff design and develop the website.

Assist the interpreter of the Panda Garden:- Short job description.

a. Help the interpreter with the giant panda research, such as: the breeding, hand-rearing, husbandry, enrichment and so on.

b. Help the interpreter Introduce the giant panda research co-operation, to:-

The USA, Japan, Austria, Thailand and so on, also the development of all of these co-operations.

c. Introduce all the giant pandas, the different habit, behavior, experience of each giant panda.

e. Tell the stories of the giant panda for the visitors

Accommodation

For your stay in Beijing you will be allocated a room with 4 beds in a Hostel and a room with twin beds in a hostel on the Panda base.
